November 16: HOT ROD GIRLS SAVE THE WORLD! from aliens

Go-Kustom Films is currently in the midst of shooting its feature HOT ROD GIRLS SAVE THE WORLD! The genre-blending story follows reporter Vanessa Trojan (Lindsay Calkins), who tries to get a story about street-racing legends Jo (Melene Marie Brown) and Betty (Kimberly Layfield), and winds up in the midst of a bizarre scenario involving rockabilly, mysterious murders and alien invaders. Musician-turned-writer/director D.A. Sebasstian is shooting his B-movie homage in black and white, with music from his own group The Inner Demons plus DragStrip Riot, The Wages of Sin, PsychoCharger and others. Go-Kustom also produces records and a weekly Seattle TV show called, natch, GO-KUSTOM TV, which airs Wednesdays at midnight on Channel 77 and spotlights music videos, pin-ups and other offbeat culture. -Michael Gingold
