Hot Rod Girls Save The World: Yup, the soundtrack to D.A. Sebasstians [Feb. 05 Max Ink cover story] long-awaited rock n roll zombie movie is now out on Go-Kustom Records. Featuring psychobilly rockers Dragstrip Riot, Psychocharger, Billy Dwayne And The Creepers and The Dirtybirds, plus Kill Switch
Klick and Faith & Disease, The CD is intercut with hilarious dialog from the movie, which should be released sometime in 2006. (www.go-kustom.com)

ROCKTOBER ISSUE #42
This is a soundtrack album for a film that doesn't yet exist, but will have lots of fans when it's released if they hear the slinky danger music of The Dirtybirds, the cavernous garage sounds of The Earaches, DragStrip Riots nasty bar punk, and the frat surf of the All-American Playboys. Some of the music here recalls the soundtrack work of Dave Allan and the Arrows, but the fact that some brings to mind Frankie and Annette music (and the fact that there are aliens in the movie) bodes well for this future sinister cinema masterpiece.

Hot Rod Girls Save the World
Music and Mayhem
This record is like a pulp fiction anthology on speedballs. The soundtrack for the movie, Hot Rod Girls Save the World by writer/director, D.A. Sebasstian has such a strong sound that the movie was probably made to complement the soundtrack. Every band on it kills with a razor edged rockabilly sound. Heaether Hexxx and the Hellions are my favorite but other great bands include 52 Pick-up, Vanessa Lowe, The Flathand 5, Kill Switch
Klick, and Psycho Charger. D.A. Sebasstian & The Inner Demons make a good showing, too (he was, after all, a musician before he became a B movie filmmaker).
It makes me want to sip whiskey straight and sit in a smoky pool room wearing something velvet and low cut with a switchblade hidden in my beehive and watch with half closed eyes as the sharks and kittens slide around each other. Now, if Jo Leene and Vikki would have just gotten together instead of getting into a bar fight over some rockabilly dude, then blind punk rock grandma could have kept knitting and the alien boy could have gone back to his planet and all those dead people could have stayed dead. But I don't know. I guess that's just me.
See the movie. Get the soundtrack. This is a rockabilly ride you'll be glad you took. -- Valeria Vegas

VARIOUS ARTISTS: Hot Rod Girls Save the World Soundtrack: CD
At least the movie dialogue is tracked separately from the songs so I can skip past all of its simplistic theatrical drudgery with ease to the excellent music featured in this campy film. Features the Dirty Birds, The Earaches, 52 Pick-Up, Psycho Charger, Dragstrip Riot, Billy Dwayne and the Creepers, Flathand 5, DA Sebasstian And The Inner Demons, Eddie And The Rockets, Elks Skiffle Group, Faith And Disearse, Vanessa Lowe, Wages Of Sin, Barbarellatones, All-American Playboys, Treatus, and Kill Switch Klick. The music is great, but I never want to see the movie after breaking a nail hitting the forward button so many times in an attempt to avoid the film's dialogue. -Jessica T (Go-Kustom)
